While the wider public will have become aware of the St. Agnes' Violin
Project through the television series 'Music Changes Lives' in January 2010,
the project was already making in it's mark in the media from some time
before this. The television series in turn led to further coverage in
print and broadcast media. Maybe there is some coverage we did not

7th November 2008, RTE's 'Morning Ireland' programme reported on
the Saint Agnes' violin project, and covered a visit by St. Agnes'

The TV series
'Music Changes Lives' was shown in January 2010 on RTE 1 television.
The series, commissioned by RTE from 'Mind the Gap' films showed the musical life of the school, as well as St.
Ultan's school, Cherry Orchard. The series was a huge hit with the
public, and brought much attention to the school. Read more here...

On 5th Jan 2010, the RTE radio programme 'Arena'
featured an interview with Seamus Doyle and Eimear O'Grady in advance
of the first episode of 'Music Changes Lives'. In the interview Seán
Rocks discusses theworkings of the Violin project within the school,
and the musical journey of the children from junior infants to sixth

Sr Bernadette Sweeney and Joanna Crooks were
interviewed on Morning Ireland radio programme, RTÉ radio one,
Tuesday 2nd February 2010. Cathal Mc Coille, interviewing was very
enthusiastic about the violin project, while Joanna and Sr. Bernadette

4th February, 2010, Sr. Bernadette is featured on the front page of the Irish Catholic newspaper,
talking about the importance of child centered education and the need
for a 'universal ethos, to bring out the good in every child'. Read the
