Agnes/Scoil Colm Primary School Orchestra with St Agnes Parents String
Orchestra performed from 2:30 pm to 3:30 in the Performance Tent.
Everyone heard an uilleann piper play before the Orchestra performance,
and while the Parents Orchestra members cleared up, the children
enjoyed a performance from a magician. After a week of the worst
imaginable weather, the sun shone, and we all had a wonderful day out.
Pieces in the programme included arrangements of the Finale of
Beethoven's 5th Symphony (arr. Richard Meyer), Weber's Huntsmen's
Chorus, Rossini's Finale to the overture of William Tell and
Offenbach's Finale to Orpheus in the Underworld, all arranged by Sandra
Dackow, and Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No 3 1st mvt, arranged once
again by Richard Meyer
